I. What the Patch fixes
-----------------------
PGA2000 release version bugs:
- Custom course terrain sounds weren't taking the impact force into account (sounds played too loud and repeatedly)
- Golfer could be floating in the air after dropping from the same location twice
- Career season stats were not being correctly displayed
- Purse payout adjustments for season tournaments so that the top positions get a better percentage of the winnings
- Match play crash when a match had been closed out
- Pairing shell lock-up on some systems when changing the number of players per group
- Side games points were incorrectly awarded for skins, greenies, and longest drives
- Players with negative amounts of online side bet points were not eligible for playing in tournaments or regular games
- Sound problem on Windows2000 that would cause longer duration sounds to play incorrectly
- Printed scorecard columns were misaligned
- Golf ball was not correctly lined up with clubface when using irons
- Driving distance average for computer players' season stats was incorrectly calculated
- Handicaps were quickly diminishing to 0 due to incorrect course difficulty calculation
- Some 3D structures were not being shown when placed on the course land plot
- Custom courses that did not have all 18 holes pin/tee positions defined would cause a crash when loading the course
- Choosing "Back 9" and playing with a list of computer players would cause incorrect scores to be posted (unviewed players were starting on hole 9 instead of 10).
- Skins amount was incorrect for any holes during sudden death (carry over on the last hole)
- Printed scorecards had formatting problems
- Scramble, Greensome, and Bloodsome types of play would give incorrect shot selections for online games
- Rejoining online games due to problems introduced in patch 3.1.15.0
- Sudden death crash in season play mode that was introduced in patch 3.1.15.0

PGA2000 release version improvements:
- New Internet game technology for a seamless online experience and more reliable connections
- Computer player short game
- Computer player shots have draws and fades
- Ball physics have been tuned to make the "Very Dry", "Dry", "Moist", and "Wet" green conditions less extreme
- Putting average for player and season stats shows two decimal precision
- Pin positions change for each round of a season event
- Mechanism for detecting uninstalled libraries has been modified to prevent some of the confusion and instability that these could cause in the architect program
- Drops that result in unplayable lies allow a re-drop (and place if necessary)
- Disabled text on game settings screen contrasts better against the green background
- Ability to choose from the Pairing Screen which group of computer players to watch when no human opponents are present, default is the
group with the lowest scores rather than the previous highest scores group. Choosing "None" will simulate the scores for the round.

PGA2000 Titanium bugs:
- Intermittent crash when pressing the "Logoff" button in the Internet lobby

II. How to install the Patch
------------------------------
1) Make sure that PGA Championship Golf is not currently running.
2) Download the patch file to a folder on your system.
3) Once download has been completed, double-click on the file to run the setup program.
4) Restart the game once the setup program has completed.

III. Additional Information
-----------------------------

Problem:
When attempting to play a LAN multiplayer game, you get a dialog box with the message "Can't enumerate available events" or "Can't enumerate available game sessions." This may be followed with a situation where your system stops responding.

Solution:
There are some known issues with DirectPlay in DirectX7, the underlying routines that make the LAN connection. Make sure your system is correctly connected to the network. Reboot the system and try again. On systems running Windows2000, this can be due to not having a required network protocol installed. Here are the steps for installing the protocol:

	1) Go to Windows Start menu and choose "Settings->Network and Dial-up Connections"
	2) Double click on "Local Area Connection" choice
	3) Press the "Properties" button
	4) Press the "Install" button
	5) Select "Protocol" and press the "Add" button
	6) Select "NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBOIS Compatible Transport Protocol and press the "OK" button
	7) Reboot the system

Problem:
While running 32-bit color, the intro video does not display - a black box shows in its place.

Solution:
For optimum performance, the game is designed to run in 16-bit color. Switch your color resolution to 16-bit and reboot the system. The video should now display properly.

DIRECTX INFORMATION
PGA Championship Golf 2000 Titanium is designed to use Microsoft's DirectX 7 software. Specifically, PGA Championship Golf 2000 Titanium utilizes the DirectSound3D, DirectSound, and DirectPlay components of DirectX. Because of this YOU MUST have DirectX installed in order to play PGA Championship Golf 2000 Titanium.

NOTE: Not all sound and video cards support DirectX, but most do. It is recommended that you refer to your hardware manufacturers to find out if your components are compatible with DirectX before installing it. In addition, some older modems might not work reliably with DirectPlay's modem features. If you find that you need to install DirectX 7 after the initial program installation, it is available on the root of the program CDs.

IV. BONUS COURSE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION FOR TITANIUM USERS:
-------------------------------------------------------------

The following are comprehensive instructions explaining the installation process for the Seven Bonus Courses contained on CD #3. For those who did not choose the "Full plus Bonus Courses" installation option, follow these directions to install the seven bonus courses:

1) Insert CD #3.
2) Go to the game folder in the Start Menu (by default: START, PROGRAMS, SIERRA, PGA Championship Golf 2000 Titanium).
3) Select PGA 2000 Titanium Course Manager.
4) From this next window, click on the INSTALL button which will bring up the INSTALL COURSE/LIBRARY window.
5) In the "Source" selection box below, click on the drop-down menu and locate the CD-Rom drive letter (it should be the one beside a symbol of a CD).
6) Select the CD-Rom drive by clicking on it.
7) Double-click on the COURSES folder listed in the box below the designated Source.
8) After double-clicking, the individual Golf Course folders will be listed below the CD-Rom drive letter within this box.

The folder names correspond to the courses as follows:

Brt - Beartooth Pass Golf Course
Cbg - Cutter Bay GC
emn - Eman Hills Country Club
rgc - Rugged Cross
sam - Sammamish Hills Golf Club
Sax - Saxe Gotha
tul - Tulaichean Bay

9) In order to install each course, double-click on the course folder corresponding with the desired course. At least two files should then be displayed in the lower left-hand box: a course file (which will have a ".crs" filename extension) and a library file (which will have a ".clb" filename extension). NOTE: Both the library and course files need to be installed for the course to work properly. In addition, the library should be installed first before installing the course file.

*In order to designate the library to install, left-click on the .clb file (on the lower left side of the window); it should be contained within the course folder which was previously selected as the course to install.

10) On the right side of the INSTALL COURSE/LIBRARY window, a Destination (directory) will need to be selected. For continuity sake, the COURSES folder within the PGA2000 Titanium folder is recommended. By default, the window should already display the installed directory and the COURSES folder beneath it. Simply double-click on the Courses folder to assign it as the destination.

11) Click on the INSTALL button between the Source and Destination sub-windows to copy the file from the CD-Rom to the selected folder. Next, repeat the same procedure above, this time selecting the course file (.crs).

*To install additional courses, double-click on the Courses folder in the upper left-hand sub-window; this will re-designate the courses folder as the Source. Next, find the next desired course and install any libraries (.clb files) and the course file (.crs) by following the above steps.

Additional Note: Both Sammamish Hills and Tulaichean Bay have 2 libraries (.clb); install these before installing the course file (.crs).

**Note to users running a Compact or Recommended Install:

After installing the new courses from CD3, you will need to return CD2 to your CD drive in order to properly load your desired PGA games.
